@Purple Dave: Sort of, and free demos are still around. The trick here is its not really a demo, and not really the full game. Its missing one important feature. Which is actually how a good deal of pirated games work. You can't play Spore online either, but the offline play still works fine. More companies should probably try stuff like this, and see where it takes them. #trials
